Synopsis

GAMACCA is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarship at the intersection of education and culture. The name “Gamacca” originates from the Makassar language, meaning bamboo weaving or wall. It symbolizes education as an interconnected structure, where values, culture, identities, and social practices weave together to form strong and meaningful educational processes.
The journal welcomes theoretical and empirical studies that explore sociocultural perspectives in education, including teaching and learning, cultural continuity and transformation, leadership and governance in educational institutions, and comparative or cross-cultural studies. GAMACCA aims to provide a platform for research that is insightful, socially relevant, and contributes meaningfully to understanding the dynamic relationship between education and culture.
