Peer Review

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Manajementa (Jumat) undergo a rigorous selection and evaluation process conducted by the Editorial Board to ensure compliance with the journal’s writing guidelines, focus and scope, and academic quality standards. The journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.

Pre-review (Desk Review)

At the initial desk review stage, submitted manuscripts are assessed by the Editorial Board to determine their relevance to the journal’s scope, adherence to the author guidelines, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the author for revision or may be rejected without proceeding to the peer review stage.

Peer Review Stage

Manuscripts that successfully pass the desk review are assigned to two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the subject matter of the manuscript. The peer review process is typically completed within four weeks. Manuscripts that fail to meet the minimum requirements at the desk review stage will not be forwarded to reviewers.

Reviewer Recommendations

Based on the review results, reviewers may provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accepted: The manuscript is suitable for publication without revision.

  • Accepted with Minor Revisions: The manuscript is acceptable for publication after minor revisions are made.

  • Accepted with Major Revisions: Substantial revisions are required, including improvements to data analysis, theoretical framework, or manuscript structure.

  • Rejected: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s academic standards or contains fundamental weaknesses.

Reviewer recommendations are considered by the Editorial Board in determining the next stage of the manuscript.

Revision Stage

Manuscripts requiring revision will be returned to the author along with a summary of reviewers’ comments. Authors are given two weeks to complete minor revisions and four weeks to complete major revisions. Revised manuscripts must clearly address all reviewer comments.

Final Decision

The Editorial Board re-evaluates revised manuscripts to ensure that all reviewer concerns have been adequately addressed. At this stage, manuscripts may still be rejected if the revisions are deemed insufficient or incomplete.

Manuscript Editing

Manuscripts accepted for publication undergo professional copyediting and proofreading to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with the journal’s formatting and language standards.

Journal Publishing

Following the editing stage, the final layout of the manuscript is sent to the author for approval. Authors may correct typographical errors at this stage. After author confirmation, the manuscript is processed for online publication and, where applicable, print publication by the Editorial Office.
